Stand up against discriminatory legislation
Senate Democrats are proud to announce that Detroit, Ann Arbor and East Lansing all scored perfect 100 ratings in a recent LGBTQ+ inclusion report, while other prominent cities have earned scores above 75.
Although this means that Michigan is making some progress toward inclusion and equality, the reality is that the state does not have laws offering universal protection for LGBTQ+.

In the coming months, Republicans are expected to vote on anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, such as the Religious Freedom Restoration Act and a controversial bathroom bill.
Stand with Senate Democrats against discriminatory legislation.
